Jessy Quay – Dancer

As a Sydney-born performer, Jessy has based herself in the Illawarra for the past year, finding inspiration and grounding in nature as a powerful catalyst for her movement. After completing both a Certificate IV and a Diploma of Dance through Ev and Bow Full-Time Dance Training Centre (2017 – 2018), she has gone on to perform in contemporary works by various choreographers, including projects through One Dance Collective (2019 and 2022). Alongside her creative practice, Jessy works professionally in the mental health field. She holds a particular interest in the intersection of movement and mental health, having completed an Honours thesis investigating the relationship between dance and emotional intelligence. As a company member of Glasshouse Dance Collective, Jessy is excited to perform and continue exploring her reconnection to live performance.
